Radolfzell is a small historical city in southern Germany. The city’s history goes back almost 1,200 years. Beginning as a modest settlement, it has developed into a popular tourist destination in the Lake Constance region.

The city is mainly famous for the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology (bird research institute in Radolfzell-Möggingen) and for the headquarters of some environmentalist organizations (BUND, Euronatur, Deutsche Umwelthilfe). At the beginning of every January there is a huge meeting of environmentalists (Naturschutztage) in the city's convention centre.

The popular resort town has a population of 30,000 and has a lot to offer visitors, e.g. stunning views, great shopping, arts and culture and a variety of outdoor activities.
